Born and raised in the historic Straits Settlement of Penang, I’ve always been surrounded by the vibrant tapestry of Peranakan culture, from ornate teacups passed down through generations to the everyday ritual of spooning sugar into morning kopi. Now living far from home, I find myself drawn to those quiet details, the ones that whisper of family, tradition, and belonging.

Straits in Glaze is a silk scarf collection that weaves nostalgia and heritage into every motif. Dancing spoons, delicate teacups, and porcelain patterns come together in joyful movement. It's a tribute to home, and a way to carry a piece of it wherever life leads.
